Did you ever know a person who, when attempting to do the right thing, seems to put his foot into it instead?

“Sometimes I do that myself.”

I guess, at times, we all fall into that trap.

“Yeah.”

But we don’t have to. Not if we listen and learn from Proverbs 27:14. Here is a picture principle worth remembering (see another blog for the idea of pictured principles):

He who rises early in the morning and blesses his neighbor with a loud voice, instead, his blessing will be considered a curse.

Doing things appropriately requires thought and consideration. Anyone who thinks everyone does things exactly as he does, errs. Others, don’t think at all; they just act. Take this picture proverb. Mull over it.  Understand it.

Sometimes I work late into the early morning hours—1, 2, even 3 AM. Well, when the phone rings from someone calling me at 7 AM the next morning, the phone can become a “curse.” Of course, people don’t know my habits. Yet isn’t it courteous to wait till 9:30 at the earliest to phone? Even then, it can be annoying.

“Why answer?”

You know, that’s a good question—and fodder for another blog. Thanks!
