If you don’t know by now, let me tell you about it.

“About what?”

About the purposes of this blog.

‘Well, what are they? As far as I can see, they’re all over the map.”

Good. You got that right. There isn’t any one objective, beyond honoring God.

But the lesser objectives may be stated as follows:

  1. To promote the Institute for Nouthetic Studies. We say it unashamedly—we believe we have a worthwhile product that ought to be considered.
  2. To propagate the faith.
  3. To help Christians grow.
  4. To encourage biblical counseling and preaching.
  5. To provide for Adams and Arms a place to express their thoughts.

See? You were right all along. Nothing complicated about it. We’re strictly up front about our purposes. You can count on that always being true. No glitzy cover-up of what we’re up to. All is out in the open.

Now, let’s see if there is something to bring “out into the open” in the brief space that remains.

Yes, here it is—in keeping with the first of the listed goals, let me ask you, “Why haven’t you looked into our website any further than this blog? I think that you may be pleasantly surprised by the number and depth of the course offerings. Wouldn’t you like to be able to counsel others at your church—in your neighborhood, at home? Consider taking the course.
