In blogs, the first shall be last, and the last shall be first.

“Just like in the Bible, eh?”

Well, yes and no. Jesus did say those words, it’s true, but He had a far deeper meaning.

“How so?”

Well, in Mt. 19:30, when Jesus spoke, he was not talking about order—that’s why blogs are lined up as they are (because of the order in which they were written)—but about rank.

“What’s that mean?”

It means that in the final outcome of things, some of those who now are first in the eyes of men will be last in God’s eyes, and in the way in which He deals with them, and . . .

“And the reverse is true too?”

Exactly!

Then, of course, there will be those who don’t rank at all with God, because they’ve never been saved.

“Just plain rank, eh?”

Well, I wouldn’t have put it that way, but—yes.
