The Christian Counselor’s New Testament and Proverbs (CCNT/P) features Dr. Jay Adams’ original translation of the Greek text to which he has added helpful notes and cross-references, which will be of help to the counselor. In the back, he has appended a section of helps which includes counseling outlines, check-lists, a topical index, charts, and more. It is a beautifully bonded leather-bound volume with a stitched binding.

A word about ordering. The CCNT/P cannot be ordered through our regular online bookstore. That bookstore is powered by Amazon and we urge you to check it out while you are here. But because the CCNT/P is a leather-bound volume and not a paper or hard-bound book, they were not equipped to handle it in the gentle, careful way our Seminary bookstore would. The order you place here will go directly to the Seminary bookstore where it will be lovingly filled by our diligent staff. Please remember, the shopping cart on this page does not sync with the shopping cart for our general bookstore. The two do not integrate. Orders for the CCNT must be made here, separately from orders in our main online bookstore.

If you would like to speak to someone in our Seminary bookstore directly, call (901) 751-3082. Please note that they are only open to receiving calls from Tuesday – Thursday.

Finally, a word about shipping: we charge a low, low flat fee of $6 for all orders under $100. For orders over $100, we pay shipping! Again, this only applies to the CCNT and does not apply to shipping in our main online bookstore. Sorry, we are only able to ship to USA addresses. Please understand that we are not Amazon and do not have the shipping resources and personnel they do. Usually, we fill orders within a day or two, but when the seminary bookstore hours are reduced because school is not in session, it may take several weeks.

“The Christian Counselor’s New Testament and Proverbs is a very good translation that ought to find traction among Bible students of all backgrounds. Dr. Adam’s footnoted commentary, particularly in Proverbs, is worth the price of the volume alone. Adams has brought fresh consideration to both translational and textual issues and his insights are both valuable and faithful.”
– Rev. Michael R. Burgos, ACBC Certified Counselor, President of Forge Theological Seminary
