I’m starting to read The Christian Counselor’s Manual. It says you need to be an ordained minister to counsel. I’m not an ordained minister and I’m a woman. Does that disqualify me from being a Biblical counselor?

It does not follow from that, however, that anyone who counsels must be ordained. All counseling, done by anyone, must be done under the authority of the ordained leaders of the church.
